What Does God Have to Say?

June 22, 2007 What Does God Have to Say? “Morning Medication” by Mary Jane Davis

Isaiah 30:15 “For thus says the Lord God, “In returning and rest you shall be saved. In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”

I’m having difficulty getting where I want to go. Since my way of getting Morning Medications to my readers through a simple email program has failed, I’m aware of some sadness and a feeling of let down. It seems like I’ve been cut away from easy access to friends and family, a way to chat each day, come into their lives and say “I’m still here”, through the venue of Morning Medication.

As a writer, I’m learning that kinship with the reader is friendship and I don’t want to let go of the control of being able to click and be in the inboxes of friends and family. It’s a feeling of being alone with my thoughts that I’ve gotten used to sharing. It’s like being adrift, cut off.

Now that that’s out of the way, what does God have to say?

Good girl, you recognized your agitation after working hard to solve a problem that is out of your control. Now, hand it over, let me have it. Just write. Do your part and no more. Don’t worry about your connections; just stay connected and confident in me.

            OK, but…

NO buts. Keep returning and we’ll talk and you’ll write. Leave the rest to me.

As the Lord lives, whatever my God says, I will speak. 2Chronciles 18:13
